FUGLIES ARE GO!
It's on again! Our 'fugly' oysters ready for you to order for this weekend! Here's what we did with ours last Sunday: shucked a couple of dozen and made a quick ponzu sauce to spoon over. Then down the hatch!
Our 'fuglies' are the ones that are left over after we finish selecting and packing our most beautiful oysters for our restaurant customers. These are the oysters we've rejected because they're too big, too wonky, not quite big enough - or just plain ugly: our 'fuglies'. Regardless of their look, they're still utterly fresh and delicious!
Our live (unshucked) fuglies are available online at the discounted price of just $15 per baker's dozen (13) each week until sold out or until 7am Saturday.
Collect your fuglies in Ballina on Saturday between 10am and 2pm from Lennox Smokin' Barrel, 9 Moon Street Ballina. Please note you have to pre-purchase your fuglies online from Shuck, as Lennox Smokin' Barrel acts as our collection point only.
